hi everybody! on your site, i see how to say mom & dad in arabic. but what are grandparents called? would appreciate your help for an embroidery project i'm doing as a surprise shower gift for a friend. yours, marianne

Grandmother is jidda or gidda in egyptian dialect (ÌÏÉ) and Grandfather is jid or gid (ÌÏ)
Mother is am ( Ãã) and Father is ab (ÇøÈ)

The stupid thing messed up the arabic symbols. The above ones aren't the correct spellings. It changed them. I repeat the above symbols are mistakenly there. Do not use them. Thank you.

in my family (lebanese) we call our grandmother "sitto" and grandfather "jiddo". different dialect than egyptian arabic.
